Shane C Mecham named shareholder of Levy Craig Law Firm, P.C.

The Levy Craig Law Firm, P.C. has elected Shane C. Mecham as its newest shareholder. Mecham joined the firm in 2010 with first-chair jury trial experience, representing clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 100 corporations in national litigation. While at the firm, Mecham has handled a wide array of commercial litigation. He has first-chaired several jury and bench trials and argued before appellate courts in Missouri and Kansas. Mecham earned his J.D. with honors in 2004 at The University of Texas School of Law, where he was an editor of the Texas Law Review. He has written articles for legal publications and given professional presentations on a variety of topics. Mecham won one of the ten largest defense verdicts in Missouri in 2013. In 2011, Missouri Lawyers Weekly recognized Mecham as “Up and Coming.” Super Lawyers magazine named him a “Rising Star” in Missouri and Kansas in 2011 and 2012 and a “Super Lawyer” in 2013. Apart from his new role at Levy Craig, Mecham was recently re-elected as Chairman of the Missouri Brain Injury Advisory Council. Governor Nixon first appointed him to the Council in 2012. The MBIAC advises the governor on legislation designed to prevent brain injuries and assist survivors. Mecham is also the Vice-President of DEBATE Kansas City, which supports debate teams in underfunded urban schools.
