“I have represented clients on all sides of the development process, including municipalities, public agencies and developers,” Scott said. “I also handle development plan approvals in all Kansas City-area municipalities, including requests for tax abatement, tax increment financing and tax credit projects.”

His municipal clients have included Smithville and Peculiar, Mo. Semi-municipal agencies include The Housing Authority of Kansas City, Mo., as well as several community development corporations. As for developers, Scott’s expertise spans commercial, retail and residential issues for both landlords and tenants.

During his 23-year career, Scott has guided the:
> Development and tax abatement of the American Food Products
   headquarters in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
> Development, vertical platting, super TIF and financing of the
   Omni/Doubletree Hotel in Kansas City, Mo.
> Development of the Waddell & Reed Park in Overland Park, Kan.

CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
> Served as legal counsel for more than 40 low-income housing tax
   credit projects.
> Assisted in development of more than 10 historic tax credit projects.
> Received Pro Bono Publico Award, The Missouri Bar Association,
