LEVY CRAIG’S SHANE MECHAM WORKS PRO BONO TO PREVENT DECORATED DISABLED VETERAN FROM BEING EVICTED THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING

Levy Craig contributes its time and money to support America’s veterans through the Military Matters Program.  Recently, that program referred a case to Levy Craig shareholder Shane Mecham.  Thaerius Berry, a Kansas City, Kansas veteran, incurred unexpected medical expenses over the summer.  As a result, his landlord was attempting to evict Mr. Berry from his handicapped accessible home.  Shane Mecham volunteered to defend Mr. Berry in the eviction case.  It was set for trial the day before Thanksgiving.  Fortunately, on the morning of trial, Mr. Mecham was able to secure rental assistance for Mr. Berry from the VFW’s Unmet Needs Program.  Now Thaerius Berry will be able to remain in his home.
