Scott handles every legal matter with a distinct advantage over other attorneys: He has a 360-degree understanding of commercial development issues, giving him the ability to anticipate and troubleshoot. The result? Clients benefit from a smooth, predictable and efficient process.
"I have represented clients on all sides of the development process, including municipalities, public agencies and developers," Scott said. "I also handle development plan approvals in all Kansas City-area municipalities, including requests for tax abatement, tax increment financing and tax credit projects."
His municipal clients have included Smithville and Peculiar, Mo. Semi-municipal agencies include The Housing Authority of Kansas City, Mo., as well as several community development corporations. As for developers, Scott's expertise spans commercial, retail and residential issues for both landlords and tenants.
